We accept donations in accordance with our Gift Acceptance Policy and may at times decline gifts from organisations or individuals not aligned with our values.

Yes, all gifts over $2 are tax deductible for Australian residents. If you're a US resident, you can make a tax deductible donation at Friends of Bush Heritage. UK residents can do so through the Wilderness Foundation.

If you chose to become a monthly donor, then once your initial gift is processed your ongoing donations will be debited on either the 1st or 15th of each month (or nearest business day), depending on the date of your initial gift.

If you've made a one-off donation, you'll be sent a receipt shortly after. If you're making automatic monthly donations from your bank account or credit card you'll get a consolidated tax receipt at the end of the financial year.

All our fundraising activities follow industry best practice and abide by relevant legislation and codes of conduct. When we engage suppliers to deliver telemarketing, SMS or face-to-face fundraising they're held to the same standards. We have robust processes in place to detect and minimise the risk of any fake fundraisers pretending to be us. Cheques are being phased out across Australia. In line with the national transition – which is led by banks, financial institutions and endorsed by the Australian Government – we're preparing to phase out cheques and give you other ways to continue supporting our conservation impact without them.
